How To Clean Dentures…
How can dentures remain clean?
Cleaning your dentures isn’t as hard as is seems. The best way is to clean them at least once a day. Two times a day even better . This can be done simply by giving them a rinse under water, cleaning with a soft toothbrush, and using either soapy water or a denture safe toothpaste . Both choices will give a great result.
Whats the best methods?
Soft tooth brush. Soapy water or toothpaste. Using cleaning tablets can be an extra technique, but its not necessary.
Can i harm them using chemicals?
Absolutely. I have seen 1st hand what bleach can do to dentures. Don’t do it! You have spent the time and money into getting a beautiful set of dentures. The last thing you would want to do is change the colour of the acrylics from using heavy chemicals to clean them.
What happens if i don’t clean them?
Just like our natural teeth, if you do not clean dentures, then they too will grow plaque on them. Cleaning is vital to keep the mouth in a hygienic environment. 30-60 seconds a day on the dentures should be enough to ensure they stay clean for the life of the dentures.
